Upcoming Troop 82 Events Even though the Scouting season is winding down, there's no shortage of events during this last month
leading up to the summer camping trip in June.
Feel free to check the schedule, it is is updated frequently, please check back often for updates!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
The NEXT Parent Committee meeting
is Monday, June 24th. This will be the final
meeting of the year. We will review the year and wrap up plus make some
plans for the upcoming Scouting year. All interested parents are
encouraged to attend, especially parents of scouts new to the troop.
Troop
82 prides itself on having trained, responsible adults to work with the
Scouts. There are some training requirements that are from the BSA
National Office, such as Youth Protection Training. In addition, per
the Archdiocese, all
adults that will be in contact with Parish youth (CYO, Adult Leaders,
Scoutmasters, Scout Leaders, etc..) need to have proper paperwork and
background checks. This includes any parents that may accompany Scouts
on overnight camping trips. Please see Joe Seborowski to make sure all
the proper paperwork is filled out. The Parish will pay any associated
fees for these background checks. This is in addition to the Youth Protection Training required by the Boy Scouts.
All Scouts should be in
Class B uniform for regular Troop 82 events, including Troop 82 meetings.
The first meeting of the month is also a Class A meeting for ALL Scouts. Courts of Honor are always mandatory full Class A uniform, no
exceptions. Boards of Review are Class A for the Scout attending the
Board of Review. A reminder to all Scouts, the Class A uniform also
includes appropriate pants.

Form. The September 2012 version IS
the most current version. This copy is the ENTIRE form (all 20+ pages
of it). For most Scouts, Parts A, B & C (pages 3 thru 8) will be
all that is required. Part "C" MUST be completed by a Medical Professional. This is a NEW form from last year and is a bit different and more detailed.
