Upcoming Troop 82 Events

As the Troop 82 2012 scouting season starts to wind down, there's no shortage of interesting and fun things to do. This month there is the always popular Beach Jam! Finally, in June we will have the annual week long camping trip to Camp Ockanickon.  There will also be the Troop picnic and Court of Honor. Lots of good stuff coming up!!

Sunday, May 6th is an opportunity to earn as many as three Merit Badges at an event at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The Merit Badges of Law, Citizenship in the Nation and American Heritage are being offered. If you need these Merit Badges, don't miss this event!!

Later this month we will be preparing for Troop 82 elections. The meeting on Tuesday, May 29th will be devoted to describing the various Positions of Responsibility in the Troop. The actual elections will take place at the following meeting on June 4th.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

The NEXT Parents & Committee meeting is Monday, May 21st. All interested parents are encouraged to attend.

All adults that will be in contact with Parish youth (CYO, Adult Leaders, Scoutmasters, Scout Leaders, etc..) need to have proper paperwork and background checks. This includes any parents that may accompany Scouts on overnight camping trips. Please see Joe Seborowski to make sure all the proper paperwork is filled out. The Parish will pay any associated fees for these background checks.

All Scouts should be in Class B uniform for regular Troop 82 events, including Troop 82 meetings. Courts of Honor are always mandatory full Class A uniform, no exceptions. Boards of Review are Class A for the Scout attending the Board of Review. A reminder to all Scouts, the Class A uniform also includes appropriate pants.
